Dog Owners Review Michigan Dog Trainer Lisa Freeman
"I have a 1 1/2 year old Chocolate Lab that is crazy hyper. I couldn't walk her because she pulled me down my porch steps and popped two discs out in my back. She jumped on anyone who entered my house, constantly tackled my little dog, stole everything off of the counter that she wanted, and she just wouldn't obey anything I asked her to do. Everytime I thought about finding someone to take her, I looked in her eyes and I knew there was goodness inside.....I just didn't know what to do with her.
I saw Lisa Freeman's ad for obedience training and thought I would give one more try at keeping her. Despite all of her behavior problems, she was always sweet and never mean. I emailed Lisa and told her we need help, but I can't control her so I didn't know how I would manage obedience training. She offered private training to try and help. Lisa came to my house and by the end of the first hour my dog would sit, down, stay, leave it, and come. I literally had tears because for the first time I saw hope!
After the first lesson I began walking her every day and continuing with the other at home training. This first week was truly the BEST week I have ever experienced with my dog! Lisa reassured me that my dog was very smart......I was the one who needed to learn how to train her. Lisa came back a second time and we worked on staying in her bed while I answered the door, let company in, and waiting until they were seated before she greeted them. Without Lisa's help, I don't know if I would be able to keep my dog.
My whole experience was amazing! Lisa is amazing! We are now ready to start obedience classes and I am looking forward to it. Lisa helped me, in just two one-hour visits, learn how to gain control of my dog and be able to enjoy her companionship! I can't express my appreciation enough to Lisa for all she has given me."
"Lisa Freeman was my instructor for Therapy Dog Training. She had family members at the ready to be in a wheelchair or on crutches as needed. She prepared myself and my dog, Comet, to pass the TDI test-- which we did. And, she took us on a visit to a nursing home which was my favorite part. A photo of an elderly lady resident, myself and Comet even made the newspaper. I'll never forget how excited someone who couldn't talk and was in a wheelchair was to see my dog. Her eyes lit up when we entered the room and her arms popped right out to hug and pet him. How is that for non-verbal communication? Both Comet and I knew she wanted him to come over and provide some pet therapy. Heart warming. Also, my 3 boys got to come along. I thought they would be difficult and bored and want to leave. It was quite the opposite. A great all around experience on many levels. Thank you, Lisa!"
